Biography:

Abraham van Beyeren (1620–1690) was a Dutch painter known for his contributions to the Baroque movement. He specialized in still life, particularly depicting sumptuous arrangements of food and luxurious objects, which showcased his mastery of light and texture. Van Beyeren's work reflects the opulence of the Dutch Golden Age and often includes elements of symbolism related to wealth and mortality. He was a member of the Haarlem Guild of St. Luke and had a significant influence on later still life painters. Despite his prominence during his lifetime, details about his early life and training remain largely unknown.
