Biography:

Adélaïde Labille-Guiard (1749–1803) was a French painter associated with the Rococo movement. She is known for her portraits that often featured women, showcasing their intellect and social status. Labille-Guiard was one of the few female artists to gain recognition in her time, becoming a member of the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture in 1783. Her work contributed to the visibility of women in the arts during the late 18th century. Despite her achievements, details about her early life and training remain largely unknown.
