Aldro Thompson Hibbard
Aldro Thompson Hibbard was an American artist born on August 25, 1886, in Falmouth, Massachusetts, and he passed away on November 12, 1972. Hibbard was a prominent figure in the American Impressionist movement, known for his masterful landscape paintings, particularly his depictions of snowy New England scenes. He studied at the Massachusetts Normal Art School and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, where he was influenced by the teachings of Edmund C. Tarbell and Frank W. Benson. Hibbard was a founding member of the Rockport Art Association and played a significant role in establishing Rockport, Massachusetts, as an important art colony.
