Aqa Riza, also known as Riza ‘Abbasi, was a prominent Persian painter born in 1565 in Kashan, Iran, and he died in 1635. He was a leading figure in the Safavid art movement, particularly known for his contributions to Persian miniature painting. Riza ‘Abbasi served as a court painter under Shah Abbas I, where he developed a distinctive style characterized by elegant line work and a focus on individual portraiture.
