Bartolomeo di Giovanni was an Italian painter active during the Renaissance, born in 1465 and passing in 1501. He was primarily associated with the Florentine school and is noted for his contributions to the development of narrative painting. Bartolomeo was a pupil of Domenico Ghirlandaio, under whom he honed his skills in fresco and panel painting. His works often depicted religious themes, characterized by detailed compositions and vibrant color palettes. Bartolomeo's impact is evident in his participation in the decoration of the Sistine Chapel, where he contributed to the frescoes alongside other prominent artists of his time.
