Biography:

Domenico Fetti was an Italian painter active during the Baroque period, born in 1589 and passing away in 1622. He is known for his dynamic compositions and vivid use of color, which exemplify the emotional intensity characteristic of Baroque art. Fetti worked primarily in Venice and later in Mantua, where he became a prominent figure in the court of Duke Vincenzo I Gonzaga. His notable works include religious and mythological themes, with "The Adoration of the Magi" and "Saint John the Baptist" among his most recognized pieces. Fetti's influence extended to later artists, particularly in the development of Baroque painting in Northern Italy. The details of his early life and training remain largely unknown.
