Edward Martin Taber
Edward Martin Taber was an American artist born in 1863 and passed away in 1896. He was associated with the American Impressionist movement, which sought to capture the effects of light and atmosphere in a manner inspired by French Impressionism. Taber studied at the Académie Julian in Paris, where he was influenced by the works of leading Impressionists. Despite his short life, he made significant contributions to the movement through his plein air landscapes and seascapes, which were noted for their vibrant color and dynamic brushwork. His work was exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the Society of American Artists, gaining recognition for its innovative approach. Taber's career was tragically cut short by his untimely death at the age of 33.
