Everit Albert Herter was an American artist born on June 3, 1876, and he passed away on December 12, 1940. He was associated with the American Arts and Crafts movement, which emphasized traditional craftsmanship and simple forms. Herter was known for his work as a painter and muralist, contributing significantly to the decoration of public and private spaces in the early 20th century. One of his notable works includes the mural "The Signing of the Armistice" at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
