Biography:

Francesco Granacci (1469–1543) was an Italian painter associated with the Renaissance movement. Born in Florence, Granacci was a contemporary and close associate of Michelangelo, with whom he studied under Domenico Ghirlandaio. His work is characterized by its adherence to the stylistic elements of the Florentine school, and he contributed to the decoration of the Sistine Chapel. Granacci's impact is noted in his role as a facilitator for Michelangelo's early career, as well as his own contributions to religious and mythological themes in art. Despite not achieving the same level of fame as some of his contemporaries, Granacci's work remains a testament to the rich artistic environment of Renaissance Florence.
