Biography:

Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830–1896) was an English painter and sculptor associated with the Neoclassicism art movement. He is best known for his large-scale historical and mythological subjects, characterized by their meticulous detail and vibrant color. Leighton served as the President of the Royal Academy from 1878 until his death, significantly influencing the direction of British art during his lifetime. His most famous works include "Flaming June" and "The Bath of Psyche." Leighton's contributions to the arts were recognized with his elevation to the peerage in 1896, shortly before his passing. His legacy continues to be celebrated in exhibitions and collections worldwide.
