Biography:

Gainsborough Dupont was an English painter born in 1754 and active until his death in 1797. He was associated with the Rococo art movement, known for its ornate and decorative style. Dupont was a pupil of the renowned artist Thomas Gainsborough, and he often emulated his mentor's techniques in portraiture and landscape painting. His works contributed to the development of English portraiture during the late 18th century. Despite his talent, Dupont's recognition during his lifetime was limited, and he remains less known compared to his mentor.
