George Peter Alexander Healy was an American portrait painter born on July 15, 1813, in Boston, Massachusetts, and he passed away on June 24, 1894, in Chicago, Illinois. Healy was associated with the Romantic art movement, known for his ability to capture the character and likeness of his subjects with sensitivity and detail.
