Giambattista Cimaroli (1687–1771) was an Italian painter associated with the Venetian school of the 18th century. He was a prominent figure in the Vedutismo movement, which focused on detailed and realistic cityscapes and landscapes. Cimaroli was born in Salò, near Brescia, and later moved to Venice, where he became a part of the vibrant artistic community. He collaborated with notable artists such as Canaletto and was known for his ability to capture the atmospheric qualities of the Venetian landscape. His works contributed to the popularity of vedute, influencing both his contemporaries and later generations of landscape painters.
