Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini (1675–1741) was an Italian painter, recognized as a prominent figure in the Rococo movement. Born in Venice, Pellegrini was a leading exponent of the Venetian school, known for his decorative frescoes and vibrant use of color. He traveled extensively across Europe, working in England, France, and Germany, which significantly contributed to the spread of the Rococo style beyond Italy. Pellegrini's work was influential in the development of the English Rococo, particularly through his contributions to the decoration of Burlington House in London. His career was marked by prestigious commissions, including work for the Elector of Bavaria and the King of Poland, which underscored his reputation as a sought-after artist of his time.
