Giovanni Battista Piazzetta was an Italian painter born in 1682 and active until his death in 1754. He is associated with the Rococo movement, known for his expressive use of color and light, as well as his ability to convey emotion in his subjects. Piazzetta's work often featured religious themes and portraits, and he gained recognition for his contributions to Venetian art.
