Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani was an Italian painter born in 1660 and died in 1731. He was a prominent figure in the Baroque movement, known for his dynamic compositions and dramatic use of light and shadow. Sagrestani was primarily active in Florence, where he contributed significantly to the artistic landscape of the city during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. He trained under the tutelage of Carlo Cignani, which greatly influenced his style and technique.
