Hung Hsien, also known as Margaret Chang or Hong Xian, was a Taiwanese artist born in 1937 and passed away in 1991. She was a prominent figure in the Fifth Moon Group, an influential art movement in Taiwan that emerged in the 1950s, which sought to modernize Chinese painting by integrating Western techniques and concepts. Hung Hsien's work is noted for its innovative blend of traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary abstract forms, contributing significantly to the evolution of modern art in Taiwan.
