James McDougal Hart
James McDougal Hart was a Scottish-American painter born on May 10, 1828, in Kilmarnock, Scotland, and he passed away on October 24, 1901, in Brooklyn, New York. Hart was a prominent figure in the Hudson River School, an art movement known for its romantic portrayal of the American landscape. After emigrating to the United States with his family in 1830, Hart studied art in Europe before establishing himself in New York City.
