Jean-Frédéric Bazille

Jean-Frédéric Bazille was a French painter born in 1841 and active until his untimely death in 1870. He was a key figure in the Impressionist movement, known for his innovative use of color and light. Bazille studied under Gustave Courbet and became friends with other prominent Impressionists, including Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
