Karl von Blaas

Karl von Blaas was an Austrian painter born on April 28, 1815, in Nauders, Tyrol, and he passed away on March 19, 1894, in Vienna. He was a prominent figure in the Nazarene movement, which sought to revive honesty and spirituality in Christian art through a return to the styles and techniques of the early Renaissance.
