Kawamura Bunpō 河村文鳳
Kawamura Bunpō (1779–1821) was a Japanese painter associated with the Edo period, known for his contributions to the Bunjinga or Nanga school of painting. This art movement was characterized by its emulation of Chinese literati painting, emphasizing a scholarly and poetic approach to art. Bunpō was born in Kyoto and was initially trained in the Kano school before turning to the Nanga style, which allowed for greater personal expression and creativity.
