Ludolf de Jongh (1616–1679) was a Dutch painter associated with the Dutch Golden Age. Born in Overschie, near Rotterdam, de Jongh was known for his genre scenes, portraits, and landscapes, which often depicted everyday life with a keen sense of realism and detail. He studied under notable artists such as Cornelis Saftleven and Anthonie Palamedesz, which significantly influenced his artistic development. De Jongh's work is characterized by its vibrant use of color and dynamic compositions, contributing to the rich tapestry of 17th-century Dutch art.
