Oliver Frazer
Oliver Frazer (1824–1864) was a Scottish painter known for his contributions to the Romantic art movement. Born in Edinburgh, Frazer studied at the Trustees' Academy under the tutelage of Sir William Allan, which significantly influenced his artistic development. He is recognized for his portraiture, capturing the likenesses of notable figures of his time with a distinct sensitivity and attention to detail. Frazer's work was exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, where he became an associate member in 1851. Despite his promising career, his life was cut short at the age of 40, limiting his potential impact on the broader art world.
