Biography:

Orazio Borgianni was an Italian painter active during the Baroque period, born in 1578 and passing away in 1616. He is known for his dramatic use of light and shadow, which exemplifies the emerging Baroque style. Borgianni spent a significant part of his career in Rome, where he was influenced by Caravaggio and contributed to the development of naturalism in painting. His works often feature religious themes and are characterized by their emotional intensity.
