Biography:

Perugino, born Pietro di Cristoforo Vannucci in Italy in 1446, was a prominent painter of the Italian Renaissance. He is best known for his serene compositions and mastery of perspective, which influenced the development of High Renaissance art. Perugino was a mentor to Raphael, and his work laid the groundwork for the stylistic innovations that followed. His notable works include the "Delivery of the Keys" in the Sistine Chapel and various altarpieces throughout Italy. Perugino died in 1523, leaving a lasting legacy in the realm of Renaissance painting.
