Biography:

Quinten Massys (1466–1530) was a Flemish painter, born in Leuven, who became a prominent figure of the Northern Renaissance. Initially trained as a blacksmith, Massys shifted to painting and established himself in Antwerp, where he joined the Guild of Saint Luke in 1491. His work is characterized by a blend of Gothic and Renaissance elements, and he is renowned for his religious compositions and genre scenes, such as "The Moneylender and His Wife."
