Raphael

Raphael, an Italian painter and architect, was a central figure of the Renaissance, born in 1483 and passing away in 1520. Renowned for his harmonious compositions and mastery of perspective, he significantly influenced the development of Western art. Key works include "The School of Athens" and numerous Madonna paintings, which exemplify his ability to blend classical ideals with emotional depth. Raphael was also appointed the chief architect of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. His untimely death at the age of 37 marked the end of a prolific career that left a lasting legacy on subsequent generations of artists.
