Biography:

Ustad Mohamed, son of Murad, was an Indian artist born in 1850 and whose life was tragically cut short in 1866. Despite his brief lifespan, he was associated with the Mughal art movement, which was characterized by its intricate detail and vibrant use of color. Ustad Mohamed's work contributed to the continuation and evolution of Mughal artistic traditions during a period of significant cultural transition in India. His paintings, though few due to his early death, are noted for their delicate brushwork and adherence to classical Mughal themes. His legacy is preserved through the limited but impactful body of work that reflects the rich artistic heritage of 19th-century India.
