Willem van der Vliet
Willem van der Vliet was a Dutch painter born in 1584 in Delft, where he also died in 1642. He was a prominent figure within the Dutch Golden Age of painting, a period marked by great wealth and cultural achievement in the Netherlands. Van der Vliet was known for his portraiture, capturing the likenesses of the Dutch bourgeoisie with a refined and realistic style.
