Biography:

William Gedney Bunce was an American painter born in 1856 and active until his death in 1929. He was associated with the Impressionist movement, known for his vibrant landscapes and depictions of light. Bunce studied at the National Academy of Design and later traveled to Europe, where he was influenced by the works of European Impressionists. His work contributed to the American Impressionist movement, and he was a member of several art organizations, including the Society of American Artists.
