The Workshop of Dieric Bouts, active in the Netherlands during the 15th century, was a significant contributor to the Northern Renaissance. Dieric Bouts, born in 1415 and deceased in 1475, was a prominent painter whose workshop produced religious and secular works characterized by meticulous detail and a serene, contemplative quality. Bouts was appointed the official city painter of Leuven in 1468, a position that underscored his influence and reputation.
