Ellsworth Kelly was an influential American artist born on May 31, 1923, in Newburgh, New York, and he passed away on December 27, 2015, in Spencertown, New York. He was a prominent figure in the Color Field and Minimalist art movements, known for his exploration of form, color, and space. Kelly's work is characterized by its bold use of color and geometric shapes, often creating a sense of simplicity and purity. After serving in World War II, he studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and later at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was influenced by European modernism.
