Biography:

Gino Severini, an Italian painter born on April 7, 1883, in Cortona, was a pivotal figure in the Futurist movement. Severini's early artistic education took place in Rome, where he was influenced by Divisionism before moving to Paris in 1906, where he became associated with leading avant-garde artists. As a member of the Futurist movement, he contributed significantly to its development, particularly through his dynamic depictions of movement and modern life, as seen in works like "Armored Train in Action" (1915). Severini's career evolved beyond Futurism, as he later embraced a more classical style, reflecting his interest in order and harmony. His contributions to art were recognized with numerous exhibitions, and he continued to influence the art world until his death on February 26, 1966, in Paris.
