Biography:

Samuel F. B. Morse was an American painter and inventor, born in 1791 and passing in 1872. He was a prominent figure in the Neoclassicism art movement, known for his historical and portrait paintings. Morse is perhaps best known for his role in the development of the telegraph and Morse code, which revolutionized long-distance communication. He co-founded the National Academy of Design in New York City and served as its first president. His contributions to both art and technology have left a lasting impact on American culture and communication.
